I am a whale.
I am a Honda.
I am a pair of comfortable sweatpants.
I am Thursday and Friday to be.
I am wine.
I am blue-grey to silver.
I am
I am the fragrance of pine and eucalyptus.
I am a school.
I am an oak.
I am a cello.
I am a sphere.
I am a sofa.
I am autumn.
I am Shiba.
I am Mononoke.
I am a heater.
I am an aurora high above the mighty sapphire jewel of the sky, dappled with diamonds glittering with infinite wisdom.
I wish to be able to heal and mend with only my touch.

I am a whale. Whales, so calm and majestic as they swim gracefully in the ocean, evoke a serene scene where all the worries seem to be washed away, The whale has a big heart, and I do as well, one though differing in size but equal in its forgiving. The whale moves slowly yet with purpose as I do, sometimes even considered sloth-like but always with direction and reason. The whale needs a lot of energy- I also consume a fair amount each day. The whale seems hard to approach because of it's size, but underneath, he and I are amiable and love company.

Raindrop
so much depends
upon

a rain drop
falling

fused with bright
light

past the green
trees

This is Just to Say
I have lost
my soul
that was in
heaven

and which
you were probably
looking
for hope

Forgive me
it was company
I lacked
and sweet love

English 11A: What do you think is love?

Found an even better song to accompany this poem. (FLIP THROUGH MY HISTORY TO FIND POEM AND PLEEEEEEEEEEASE LEAVE A COMMENT)
Enjoy!
(Teru's song from Tales of Earthsea)
Lyrics:
Above the clouds where dusk comes
Always flying by itself
The hawk is probably grieving is it not
In the wind's midst even sound stops
The wings that grasp the sky
Resting is a thing they cannot do

To what compares the heart?
This heart that is like a hawk
To what compares the heart?
Of grief that seems to circle the sky

In boulder's shadow near falling rain
Always blossoming small
The flower is probably sad is it not
In the rain's midst even colour finishes
Of lightly peach-coloured petals
Without a hand to love them

To what compares the heart?
This heart that is like a flower
To what compares the heart?
Of sadness struck by rain

On a rustic road shadows disappear
With me together you walk
You are probably lonely too are you not
Of grassy plains where insects cry
I go the road with you human though I am
You that disappears without a word

To what compares the heart?
This heart that goes the road alone
To what compares the heart?
Of the loneliness of being all alone

English 11A: What do you think is love?

Delicate as a soft feather,
silvery dew of of the moon's tears
caressed by the light wind,
floating ever so delicately
silently upon the moon-lit night.
It lands,
blossoming into a rose,
and bringing all of heaven's warmth,
                                                       to one,
                                                         the rose swiftly turns
                                                              into the silvery feather
                                                                   and blows away.
                               away
                                                away
                                                                           away.
Look! How the feather
flutters and floats,
swinging and laughing and flying
effortlessly as its previous whole.
Look! How the silver sheen

 changes
to orange as the setting sun,
to beauty, to grace, to allure
of pearls and blossoms
where all are seen as equals
to forever and eternity.
So sweetly it flies,
it brushes upon the world,
to blossom,
         bringing color,
                bringing joy,
                       bringing life, vitality, sweetness,

that dewy and rich sweetness of life,

to the world.

English 11 Block A

Response to "A Plea for the Physical" by Kate Braid.
Question: Are you more at home hiking in the woods or riding on the subway? Taking the stairs or the escalator? Having a sweaty workout or watching a hockey game on TV? etc etc Give reasons why you prefer either the physical or the sedentary.

Honestly I would definitely prefer the sedentary as I am, as most humans are, innately lazy and cursed by the sin of sloth. Being sedentary benefits me because it allows me to keep up with the latest information through the internet, contact people from far away through the telephone and also have fun with games that help me relax after a tough day. A sedentary lifestyle is convenient, relaxed and personal to me. However, I do realize that leading this kind of lifestyle does bring risks- heart attacks, cancer (from all the junk food that I don't eat) and plain old flab is what comes with the package. That is why I wish to lead a balanced lifestyle. Physical exercise would be yang, the positive powers, and sedentary the yin energy. Together they create a balanced and better lifestyle as being extreme on one side would upset this delicate position. Too much exercise and my mind would be blank from the lack of information I would be receiving. Too much sitting-in-front-of-your-computer-and-doing-nothing would mean that I am at risk of potential diseases and problems in many parts of my body. Thus by combining the two and finding a balance between them is the best possible choice for me. I would take in both the benefits that physical exercise brings as well as the satisfaction of learning from staying at home.
